Although finger tattoos have recently taken the world by storm, from finger mustaches to inked-on wedding bands, superstar Rihanna was probably one of the first to join the ranks of the finger-tattooed. Rihanna currently has two finger tattoos, one located on the middle finger of her left hand, and the other on the index finger of her right hand. Both of Rihanna’s finger tats were inked in 2008, and have the same lighthearted, flirty style as some of Rihanna’s other tattoos. Although Rihanna loves tattoos and has two finger tats herself, she warns that finger tattoos are extremely painful and doesn’t recommend getting one!

Rihanna’s Shhh… and Love Finger Tattoos

Rihanna’s finger tattoo on her right hand reads “Shhh…” and is perfect for shushing someone without having to say a word. Rihannas shhh tattoo was apparently so inspiring that several celebrities copied the tat, including British singer Lily Allen and actress Lindsay Lohan. The second of Rihanna’s finger tattoos reads “Love” in simple script on the middle finger of her left hand.  When she flashes the peace sign, she always adds in love to complete: “peace and love.”  Some of Rihanna’s other tattoos represent the sexy star’s devotion and loyalty to the things and people she loves. Rihannas love tattoo on her finger clearly illustrates this sentiment as well. Both of Rihanna’s finger tattoos are small and simple, but they certainly reflect Rihanna’s fun, loving and carefree personality.

Rihanna’s finger tattoos are pretty unique and are also rather clever. Who else would have thought to get a permanent “Shhh…” tat or always show “peace and love” at once? It probably comes in pretty handy for the wildly successful singer. Although a lot of celebrities and other people have opted to get their own finger tattoos lately, at least Rihanna’s finger tattoos are distinctive and mustache-free.
